If you want to use Search Engine Marketing (SEM) to promote your site, for example Google Adwords, if your site is not properly optimized, it will not perform as well as a fully optimized site. That’s because Google Adwords ranks sites based on their relevance to users, as well as the bid price they nominate for clicks. The crucial ‘relevance’ aspect of the rating is determined by SEO factors – this means a well optimized website gets more clicks and at cheaper prices.
